What happens to my Wavemaker data when I upgrade to Navigator? |

A. |
Your Wavemaker data is preserved and can be accessed by using Wavemaker Desktop software to look at old data. In the case where the computer needs to be replaced as part of the upgrade then the wavemaker data will remain on the old computer and can be accessed as normal.

What are the benefits of upgrading to Navigator? |

Navigator Software provides many enhancements and features not available in our previous product, WAVEMAKER® Software. Navigator Software’s new features include improved workflow and data analysis speed.
The other benefit is that this software is fully supported. In January of 2005 Wavemaker will no longer be supported.

Is learning Navigator software difficult? |

No, we provide on-site training at the time of upgrading or installing Navigator software to allow users to quickly master the skills needed to operate the software.

How long does it take to upgrade my system to Navigator? |

A. |
Upgrading to Navigator software typically will take less than a day and in many cases just a few hours.

What features does Navigator have that Wavemaker does not? |

There are many features of Navigator that are not available in Wavemaker here are just a few:
- Remote database access
- Ability to Group and Compare results from different projects and/or imported projects
- Powerful data analysis tools, including normalization functions and three-dimensional data clustering for mutation calling
- Sequences can be imported from Internet sites or downloaded directly from www.MutationDiscovery.com®

Do I lose any functionality? |

No, In fact you gain more functionality that is not available in Wavemaker software.

Is Navigator compatible with my current computer? |

| |
A. |
In some instances it is compatible with the current computer and in others it does require that the computer be replaced. In general if you currently have a Compaq computer that came with your wave system then this should be compatible. If it is not then please contact either your local support person or send an e-mail to custserv@transgenomic.com.
