SURVEYOR® Scan Mutation Detection Kits

SURVEYOR® Scan Mutation Detection Kits
For Simple and Accurate Mutation Detection with High Sensitivity

Transgenomic’s family of mutation detection products — SURVEYOR Scan Mutation Detection Kits — features proprietary SURVEYOR Nuclease technology. This technology provides a novel approach to mutation detection entailing PCR amplification, hybridization to form heteroduplex DNA molecules between wild-type and mutant alleles, followed by SURVEYOR Nuclease cleavage of the resulting mismatches. SURVEYOR Nuclease based applications provide a powerful method to detect somatic mutations in gene pathways that are becoming increasingly important in research efforts to understand and treat various cancers.

SURVEYOR Scan Mutation Detection Kits are available for the following genes:

  • BRAF
  • KRAS
  • PIK3CA
  •

For several years SURVEYOR Nuclease technology has been recognized as having superior detection capability over standard sequencing, and it is now available in user-friendly mutation detection kits for a variety of genes. In addition to detecting the most common activating mutations, it also detects other mutations that current sequence-specific methods do not find.

    Key Features
    • Detects all common mutations in specified coding exons.
    • High analytic sensitivity — detects as low as 1% of mutant in a background of wild-type genomic DNA
    • Single set of PCR and analysis protocols allows convenient parallel processing of different genes.
    • Finds low level mutations frequently missed by sequencing.
    Multiple Platforms

Each SURVEYOR Scan Mutation Detection Kit is designed to work with a variety of platforms.

    Easy to Use

    Easy to Interpret

SURVEYOR Scan traces give a clear and simple indication of presence or absence of mutations.

    Cost Effective

By running samples in batches, cost efficiencies are gained with SURVEYOR Scan Mutation Detection Kits. The larger the batch size, the lower the cost per sample.
