The HANABI Metaphase Chromosome Harvesters are the first systems to fully
automate the multi-step process of preparing and harvesting
metaphase cells derived from blood or bone marrow cell cultures or
from other cell suspension cultures for cytogenetic analyzes.
Centrifugation, aspiration of supernatants, addition of hypotonic or
fixative solutions and resuspension of the cells in these media are
all carried out in a preprogrammed manner by this system. Batches of
up to 64 separate cultures can be reliably processed in a
significantly shorter time when compared to traditional
methods.
