Monday June 21, 1999 COMPANY PRESS RELEASE Transgenomic Opens Two New Offices In Support of Rapidly Growing Technology Transgenomic, Inc. has opened offices in Cambridge, MA, a suburb of Boston and Gaithersburg, MD, a suburb of Washington, DC. These new locations will serve as sales and technical support offices for the Company. "I am pleased to announce the opening of these new offices, and more so, to be able to announce that we have staffed the offices with the highest quality people", said Collin D'Silva, CEO. Chris Hanna, Ph.D. and Fred Wingerath are located in Cambridge, while Michael Marino, Ph.D., Michael Bedford, Ph.D. and Joseph Devaney, Ph.D. work from the Gaithersburg office. "Each of the new offices has a lab and is set up with a WAVEŽ Nucleic Acid Analysis System, so that demonstrations of the technology can be facilitated to existing customers, as well as the large potential customer base. We also have a growing list of collaborative efforts with National Cancer Institute, US Department of Agriculture, Cornell University and leaders in the use of DNA fingerprinting for forensic applications," said D'Silva. "These facilities fit nicely with our mission of being a leader in the rapidly growing Life Science arena," DSilva went on to say.
