Transgenomic Announces Gregory Duman as Chief Financial Officer and William Rasmussen Moves to Business Development

SAN JOSE, Calif., and OMAHA, Neb., Apr. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Transgenomic, Inc. (Nasdaq: TBIO) announced today that Gregory J. Duman has joined the company as executive vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer. The company also announced the repositioning of William P. Rasmussen into a strategic planning capacity working directly with Collin D'Silva, chairman of the board and chief executive officer.

Most recently, Duman served as chief financial officer of Artios, Inc, a privately-held provider of transaction processing services. Prior to joining Artios, Duman was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Transaction Systems Architects, Inc. He joined TSA in 1983 as director of administration, was promoted to controller in 1985, and became chief financial officer in 1991. From 1999 through 2000 he served the dual role of CFO and head of software product development. Prior to his time at TSA, Duman worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. as a certified public accountant from 1979 to 1983.

Duman has served on the board of directors of Transgenomic since March 2000, and will continue in that capacity. He is also currently a director on the boards of Transactions Systems Architects and Digital Courier Technologies, Inc.
