Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. and/or MD degree with American Board of Medical Genetics certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics, with related experience in a CLIA and HIPAA compliant laboratory focused on molecular genetic testing. Good verbal and written communication skills as well as good decision-making capabilities are required. A strong research background with exposure to assay development, validation, and high-throughput mutation detection technology platforms is required.
The successful candidate will manage the DNA diagnostic laboratory operations and will be responsible for accurate reporting of patient results, sample processing and banking operations, and competency testing.
