ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops strategic and tactical direction for the Company’s network development through recruiting and contracting of third party payers.
• Negotiates complex contracts with insurance companies, governmental agencies and other providers.
• Oversees the development, effectiveness and success of negotiated contracts.
• Analyze payments and payment accuracy to ensure Company realizes maximum reimbursement from third party payers.
• Directs all activities related to provider relations and contract administration.
• Directs and oversees all liaison functions to include: enrollment and contract terms, ensure adherence to negotiated reimbursement/payment schedule for test preformed, and conflict resolution.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Previous (4-6 years) provider contracting experience required and strategic operational experience in network development.
• Proven ability to handle complex provider service issues.
• Previous experience in benefits interpretation and provider networking.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes desired.
• Strong analytic and problem solving abilities.
• Substantive knowledge of managed care policy and direction.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

This position will be responsible for working with senior management to develop, implement, and execute business plans for continued company growth and profitability. Transgenomic, Inc. is a for-profit GLP/Clinical Laboratory utilizing molecular biology and genetic procedures within the CLIA/CAP/GLP guidelines.
Position Requirements:
Master’s Degree (M.S) or 10 or more years related experience and/or training in genetics, molecular biology, chemistry, or related life sciences field. With advance knowledge of PCR, real-time assays, DHPLC and various molecular biology techniques.
Prior experience supervising laboratory personnel and working within a CLIA/ CAP, and experience in GLP environment desirable.
Advanced knowledge of CLIA/CAP guidelines, as well as a working knowledge of international regulations pertaining to the execution of laboratory procedures and protocols. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals to stay current with advancements within the scientific community and competitor product offerings.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting or exceeding deadlines and objectives. Ability to develop new assays, cost analysis of new assays, maintain turnaround times for clinical samples and manage resources effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to effectively and positively deal with clients, vendors and all levels of personnel within organization to ensure production and budgetary objectives are met or exceeded.
