Transgenomic, Inc. offers a high quality, comprehensive, and competitive benefits package.

Medical Plan

Transgenomic offers an optional plan providing medical and prescription drug coverage for employees and eligible enrolled dependents. Transgenomic pays 85% to 75% of the monthly premiums.

Dental Plan

Also offered is an optional plan that provides dental services.

Life Insurance

Basic life insurance is provided to all employees at no cost. Coverage is provided in the amount of one times annual salary up to $150,000. Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance is included.

Voluntary Life Insurance

Optional employee and dependant life insurance are also available.

Short Term Disability (STD)

Short term disability is provided at no cost to the employee. It covers 100%-80% of your pre-disability income for up to 90 days if you are unable to work due to a disability. Benefits become payable after 6 business days of disability.

Long Term Disability (LTD)

For your income protection, the Company also provides long term disability at no cost to the employee. This provides 60% of your pre-disability income if you remain disabled when STD benefits end.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Our EAP, Lifeworks, provides confidential consultation information and referrals on life changing events for you and eligible family members. Available 24 hours a day, it covers up to 3 visits to a counselor per year.

Reimbursement Accounts

We offer individual Health Care and Dependent Care Accounts that let employees use pre-tax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses for themselves or their dependents.

Domestic Partner Benefits

Some Domestic Partner Benefits are provided for same sex and opposite sex domestic partners.

401k Plan

The 401(k) Plan is designed to help employees to prepare for the future. The Company will match $.50 of every dollar up to the first 6 percent contributed. Rollovers are accepted from the employee’s former employer's qualified plan.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan

This plan was specially designed to allow employees to share in the success of the Company. Through the plan, employees may invest in Transgenomic, Inc. stock through payroll deductions. Employees pay only 85% of market value for the stock. The Company pays broker commissions on stock purchases.

Holidays

Transgenomic offers ten paid holidays per year, 3 of which are floating holidays.

Vacation

The Company believes that paid time off for rest and relaxation is important for employees’ well being. The amount of vacation time awarded depends on your length of service.

Leaves of Absence

Various Leaves of Absences may be provided for family care, maternity, medical conditions or personal leave.

Tuition Assistance

To encourage employees to improve their knowledge and technical competence by furthering their education, Transgenomic offers tuition assistance for approved classes.

Smoking Cessation Plan

To promote a healthy lifestyle among its employees, Transgenomic will sponsor up to $50 towards an approved smoking cessation program.
