Solid Phase Extraction

Overview

Transgenomic provides a polymeric alternative to the inorganic materials such as silica or alumina commonly used in solid phase extraction tubes. Transgenomic offers a line Solid Phase Extraction tubes packed with reversed phase and ion-exchange polymers. Materials that are non-polar such as waxes, hydrocarbons, and lipids, are strongly retained by a single pure interactive force on our ACT-1 and MP-DVB tubes, and are not subject to secondary effects caused by residual silanols or trace metals. For retaining moderately to strongly polar compounds from aqueous or organic solutions by ionic attraction, the MP-3 tubes are packed with polymer that combines reversed phase and cation exchange properties. All three polymeric phases offered are made from polymers with the chemical stability of a polystyrene-divinylbenzene backbone that is not affected by acids or bases, affording complete stability over the entire pH range.
